ABOUT THE AREA: IBIZA CENTER-NORTH The property is located in the Centre of the Island. This is the place in Ibiza for a quieter and real Ibiza living experience, the people being in general in a more relaxed and different state of mind than those in the South and in the West. The North offers great nature like the beaches of Portinatx or Benirràs (with great sunsets), the steep cliffs of Puerta del Cielo in Santa Ines, and laid-back villages like San Juan. Noticeably, on the “gastronomic road” to San Lorenzo there are a series of great restaurants: Ses Escoles, Nagai, Balafia (see below), La Paloma, A Mi Manera, Ca Na Pepeta, and others. A bit further away you find Elements on Benirràs beach, Rebrots in Portinatx or Shamarkanda in San Juan. Cami de Balafia restaurant in San Lorenzo is a family-run favourite of many locals, slightly set back off the main road. The old hacienda is not the easiest to find, look into the distance from the main road and you will see the sign. It is renowned for its sensational grilled meats and true Ibiza atmosphere. When the weather permits, you can dine under the stars on the outdoor terrace or if inclement weather, there is a dining room inside. Balafia will delight guests with grilled steak and rustic side dishes presented in an established tradition that has lasted more than thirty years. Try the aioli and bread for starters, the famous tomato salad, then grilled chicken, lamb chops, island pork, and of course, steaks. Meat is served with simply the best-fried country potatoes for miles. Fresh ice cream is also worth a try! The city of Santa Eulalia 10 kms away offers a choice of restaurants, bars, and all services: supermarkets, bio shops, pharmacies, banks, post offices, petrol stations, dry cleaners, etc. Santa Eulalia is the administrative centre of the region organised around the city hall in the pedestrian zone. The Yachting marina Santa Eulalia with its entertainment district with many restaurants like CBBC, Chiringuito Blue, El Deseo Mexican, and Estel. There are a lot of terraces to enjoy on Santa Eulalia´s seafront promenade. A simpler tasty eatery is Can Suldat in Es Canar with its live music. All these restaurants are reached within 15 minutes.
